We are currently seeking prospective graduate students, postdocs, and undergraduate researchers to join our team at Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts Amherst!

For prospective graduate students, I primarily accept students through the Plant and Soil Sciences degree programs in Stockbridge, including thesis-based Masters, PhD and accelerated 4+1 Masters programs. Application deadlines are February 1 or September 1 each year. I can also serve as the primary advisor for students admitted through the Environmental Conservation (Eco) graduate program, which includes an Environmental Policy and Human Dimensions track. There may be further opportunities to join my group through the UMass Interdepartmental Graduate Programs in Biology and Ecology. I also encourage interested PhD students to apply to fellowships, such as the NSF GRFP or USDA Predoctoral Fellowship.
For postdoctoral researchers, I do not currently have any grant-funded positions available. Instead, I encourage prospective postdocs to reach out with suggestions of possible fellowships that you wish to apply to (if eligible) and their deadlines. Some examples of postdoc fellowships to explore are USDA-NIFA, Smith Fellows, and NSF-PRFB. For researchers outside the US, you may be eligible to apply for additional fellowship programs (such as Fulbright, Walter Benjamin Funding, Humboldt Feodor Lynen, SNSF Mobility fellowship, or MSCA Global Fellowships).
